A Moment of Worship

“For the thoughtful know that the pure worship of the pure heart was then what it is now, and has always been, an inspired song.” (Lewis Wallace, Ben Hur)

We had just finished receiving communion, the Body and Blood of Christ. Together, we were in Christ. As we returned to our seats, we prayed and rested in Christ. And then, a guitar began to play, and a voice began to sing. The song was in Spanish, and I couldn’t understand a word. I wasn’t listening for words. Instead, the love of the Lord poured over us all through the voice of the song.

It was not just a song. It was a moment of worship.
