Psalm 2

Psalm 2

Serve the LORD with fear; with trembling bow down in homage, Lest God be angry and you perish from the way in a sudden blaze of anger. Happy are all who take refuge in God!
(New American Bible)

It’s hard to feel very holy in a place like Las Vegas, but I know that He is here with me. There doesn’t seem to be much “fear, with trembling” and paying homage to the Lord.

There I go judging again. This morning, I have given the Lord thanks and praise, and I pray that I will honor Him today.

Glory to you O Lord.

I would like to thank Diane for her comment on Psalm 1. If you would like to read it go here.

One Response to Psalm 2

  1. Diane says:

    You are welcome, Davin.
I may be missing the boat, but Psalm 2 reminds me of parenting children. As a parent I would get exasperated when my children argued over a toy, or which television show to watch, or who got to sit in the front seat (I am aging myself with that one.), etc. I have asked them many times, “Why can’t you be happy with what you have?” As loving parents we try to give our children everything that they need to become well adjusted, successful adults. Just like our Lord provides all we need. However, like children, sometimes we think we need more than we really do. Instead of asking we need to be thanking.
