The Eve Before Christmas Eve

Publisher: dwinger         Volume No. 6          Issue   No. 9    Dec. 24, 08

Last night the Gibsons and the Wingers enjoyed a feast. I don’t know for sure how long we have been neighbors, but we are friends for life. It’s the kind of friendship that is hard to explain. They are friends from God.

So…last night Keith and I grilled ribs, Darlene made her famous au gratin potatoes, and Teague cooked up some baked beans. The grilling alone took a couple of hours. Turning and basting ribs is fun to do with your friend.

We gathered together and prayed and thanked God for our friendship, and then we ate…and ate…and ate some more.

We then cleaned the table and played a game. The game was fun, but the best part about it was that we were together enjoying the companionship of one another. We laughed, talked, and teased for a couple of hours. It was a lot of fun.

Today, we are just hanging out waiting for Christmas…just waiting…

Waiting for Jesus…

Merry Christmas
