I will be on the tractor planting wheat today. After plowing the fields all summer planting the wheat in the last time the tractor will go over the field for the year. Summer is ending and fall is beginning. The days are reminding us that the seasons are changing. We even had a morning in the 50’s yesterday. It sure was nice.
There is a certain satisfaction to planting wheat. It is always nice to see it come up and see the streaks of green in the field. Later, as it grows, it can become a beautiful blanket of green spread out across the countryside. Cattle love to eat wheat. It looks and smells so good that I have even tried a bite or two.
